BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County’s Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) detail the use of funds received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the following federal programs: Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships Programs. The report accounts for all projects funded through these federal programs between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025.
On November 14, 2025, Housing & Supportive Services noticed the 15-day public comment period and public hearing to be held on December 16, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., in the local paper and on the County website. The notice identified where copies of the proposed CAPER would be made available to the public and where public comments would take place. All comments received during the public comment period and at the public hearing will be incorporated into the final CAPER, which will be subsequently submitted to HUD before the end of the calendar year.
Once public comment on the CAPER is conducted this will close the required 15-day Public Comment Period, thereby ensuring citizen participation and compliance with HUD requirements.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board conduct a public hearing, accept comments on the 2024 Program Year Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report and approve the submittal of the CAPER to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
