BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Act (WARN) has established guidelines for notifying local governments of plant closings or mass layoffs. The notice advises that Bitwise Industries, Inc., FEIN 47-1635652 will be terminating 625 employees. This mass layoff will impact 15 Florida residents in the job categories and counties listed in the attached letter.
The date of the first separation is expected to be June 14, 2023. More information pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 637.79(e) is available upon request. The reason for the mass layoff is due to unforeseeable business circumstances and other reasons.
All affected employees have been notified of their separation dates and that their separation from employment will be permanent.
