Ratification of Emergency Purchase Order to Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc., for Roadway Repairs on Beachwood Court

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Department Public Works (DPW) was notified by Republic Services of a hydraulic leak by one of their trucks on Beachwood Court in Spring Hill. Upon field review, it was determined that enough fluid had leaked that it compromised the integrity of the existing asphalt. The repair to asphalt will consist of removing/milling and resurfacing roadway.
The Purchasing and Contracts Department issued Purchase Order No. 22000998 in the amount of $45,476.25 on August 11, 2022, to Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc., to provide road repair services. The DPW is bringing the purchase order to the Board for ratification.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in amount of $45,476.25 is available in Account No. 1017-03232-5303401 LOGT 1-6 Fuel, Road Maintenance, Contract Services.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board ratify Purchase Order No. 22000998 in the amount of $45,476.25 to Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc., for Beachwood Court roadway repairs and authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders if they become necessary and required.
