BRIEF OVERVIEW

In 2020, Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services (HCFES) entered into an agreement with UKG, Inc., to purchase scheduling and payroll software.  After working with UKG, Inc.,  personnel, HCFES realized that the software would not be able to perform as needed.  Hernando County Attorney’s office negotiated with UKG, Inc., for termination of contract and both parties agreed no additional monies would change hands. 

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

HCFES was paid $17,599 for a UKG, Inc., security event which occurred in December 2021, and was reimbursed to 02261 and 02491 5305420, Electronic Subscriptions. 

 

LEGAL NOTE

Hernando County Attorney’s office has reviewed and approves the attached agreement.  The Board is authorized to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, F.S.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Board to approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the agreement to terminate the contract with UKG, Inc.
