BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Mass Transit Division requests that the Board authorize the purchase of two (2) 29' Low Floor Diesel transit vehicles from Gillig, LLC utilizing a State of Florida contract procured by Jacksonville Transit Authority, (State of Florida JTA Heavy Duty Bus Contract P-18-005) with Gillig, LLC. The contract was entered into by Jacksonville Transportation Authority and Gillig, LLC on May 24, 2019, and was awarded for a two (2) year period with three (3) 1-year options for renewal. The contract contains the necessary grant requirements for the purchase of new vehicles. Attached is the quote from Gillig, LLC together with the contract backup documentation.

The Mass Transit Division requests that the Board authorize the purchase of two (2) 23' Ford E450, Universal transit cutaway vehicles, and one (1) ADA Cutaway Van from Creative Bus Sales Inc., upon approval of the State Contract. The State contract will contain the necessary grant requirements for the purchase of a new vehicle.

The recommended vehicles have a minimum useful life of twelve (12) years or 500,000 miles pursuant to Federal Transit Agency guidelines and are necessary as the County continues to phase-out its aging transit fleet. The date of delivery is approximately one (1) year from the order date per the contract. This capital purchase is reimbursed at 100% from federal funding.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding is budgeted in Fund 0011-34001- 5606405.

The Board has the authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.
