BRIEF OVERVIEW
Attached for the Board’s review and consideration is an Amended and Restated Interlocal Wholesale Wastewater Agreement with Pasco County. Hernando County Utilities has sewer service along County Line Road, in areas where Pasco County Utilities has no sewer services available. The Amended and Restated Agreement will enable Pasco County to be a bulk sewer customer of Hernando County Utilities and provide sewer services on the Pasco side of County Line Road on an interim basis (10-year term) to provide time for Pasco County to extend its wastewater system.
The original agreement was entered into on June 27, 2017. On May 25, 2022, Hernando County Utilities provided written notice to Pasco County of its intent to terminate the original agreement. However, during this time, no sewer connections were made. Approval of this agreement will again provide bulk sewer service to areas of north Pasco County.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Payment will be received in Revenue Account No. 4111-3435001 Sewer Services.

The Board has the authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapters 125 and 163, Florida Statutes.

It is recommended the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Amended and Restated Interlocal Wholesale Wastewater Agreement with Pasco County.
