Signatory Authorization to County Engineering Staff on Permit Applications to State Agencies for Department of Public Works Projects

body

BRIEF OVERVIEW

The Department of Public Works routinely and frequently submits various permit applications for submittal to the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), or other regulatory agencies associated with projects administered through the County’s Public Works Department.

In an effort to continue timely and effective submission of these permits, staff requests that the Board approve and authorize the County Engineer, J. Scott Herring, P.E., or his designated Division Engineer, D. Todd Crosby, P.E., Assistant County Engineer or Donald S. Carey, P.E., Stormwater Engineer, to sign permit applications associated with projects administered through the County’s Public Works Department and authorize the Chairperson to sign the attached letter authorizing such.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

No financial impact; matter of policy.
