Award of FY2023 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant for In-Car Cameras for Hernando County Sheriff's Office and Associated Budget Resolution

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has awarded the FY2023 State Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant to Hernando County in the amount of $48,060 (Award Number 6N166).
On June 25, 2024, The Board of County Commissioners authorized the Hernando County Sheriff's Office to apply for this grant. These funds will be used to procure in-car cameras for patrol vehicles.
The attached award agreement must be completed and returned to the Department. This agreement constitutes official acceptance of the award and must be received by the Department prior to the reimbursement of any project expenditures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of the grant award will result in an increase in revenue in a grant account and a corresponding increase in grant expenditures. There are no matching funds required for the grant.
