Public Transportation Grant Agreement With State of Florida, Department of Transportation for Federal Transit Administration Section 5339 Funding for FY 2026 and Associated Resolutions

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Public Transportation Grant Agreement (PTGA) Federal Transit Administration (“FTA”) Transit Funding under Section 5339 has awarded Hernando County Transit Division an off-cycle grant providing capital funding in the amount of $124,590, with no local matching funds (Contract No. G3Q03).
These funds will be used for Engineering & Design Services for transit stops and amenities.
In order to receive the funds, the County is required to enter into the attached grant agreement and authorize its execution by adopting the attached proposed resolution.

Funding from this agreement will be programed into the FY26 budget Mass Transit division with approval of the attached budget resolution.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board authorize the Chairman's signature on the attached Public Transportation Grant Agreement (PTGA) Contract No. G3Q03, Associated Resolution and Budget Resolution, and further authorize the Chairman, the County Administrator, and/or the County Transit Administrator to sign amendments or other documentation required by the funding agency for the execution and fulfillment of the Public Transportation Grant Agreement.
