Award of Quote and Work Authorization Agreement to Seggie Custom Builders, LLC, for Utilities Department Administration Office Remodel Project (Contract No. 23-T00040; Amount: $57,208.00)

BRIEF OVERVIEW
On September 26, 2023, the Board approved Contract No. 23-T00040/AP for Pre-Qualification of Vendors for Construction Services for Projects under $500,000, pre-qualifying firms under three (3) categories, Category A-Public Works, Category C-Utilities, Category D-Facilities, to provide quotes for County projects on an as-needed basis.
On May 7, 2025, the Hernando County Utilities Department issued a Request for Quotes (Contract No. 23-T00040/AP Quote 40) for Remodel of Utilities Admin Office.
The Request for Quote was sent to eight (8) pre-qualified firms for Category D-Facilities:
1. Deeb Construction & Development Co.
2. Waller Construction, Inc.
3. MVH Construction, LLC
4. Steve Culp dba Property Services GC
5. Cross Environmental Services, Inc.
6. Nicholas & Associates
7. Seggie Custom Builders, LLC
8. Archis, Inc., d/b/a Archis Technologies
BIDs RECEIVED:
(Bids listed in lowest to highest order, with asterisk denotating recommended awardee.)
Two (2) replies to the Request for Quote were received by the Quote Due Date of June 10, 2025, from the following firms:
1. Seggie Custom Builders, LLC $57, 208.00*
2. Waller Construction, Inc. $120,500.00
Hernando County Utilities Department reviewed for price, conformance to specifications and the Bidder's ability to perform the contract in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications required and is recommending award of quote to Seggie Custom Builders, LLC.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $57,208.00 is available in the following:
