BRIEF OVERVIEW
Staff received a request from Nancy Green, Director of Clinical Education at Tampa General Hospital Brooksville and Spring Hill, for a resolution proclaiming May 21, 2026, as Stop the Bleed Day in Hernando County. The Board of County Commissioners encourages all citizens to participate in the Stop the Bleed campaign and build a culture of readiness by learning how to stop traumatic bleeding prior to first responders’ arrival in case of an emergency and save lives.
