BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Procurement Department issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 23-CG0003/GL on May 3, 2023, at the request of the Hernando County Airport Department, to obtain bids for Brooksville-Tampa Bay Airport - Eastside Roadway Improvements project.
The Procurement Department staff placed the legal advertisement in the Hernando Sun on May 5, 2023, and the OpenGov website on May 3, 2023. The bid was sent to seven hundred and one (701) matching vendors/contractors from the website. The bid document was downloaded by forty-four (44) vendor/contractors and three (3) bid submissions were received.
BIDs RECEIVED:
* B.R.W. Contracting, Inc. $2,549,665.25
* Civil Site Constructors, Inc. 2,776,305.98
* Cristel Group, Inc. $3,889,614.85
Bids were reviewed and evaluated by the Procurement Department to determine if they were responsive and responsible. The bids were then reviewed and evaluated by the Hernando County Airport Department staff for award recommendation based on price, conformance with specifications and the Bidder's ability to perform the contract in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications required.
A Notice of Intent to Award the contract to B.R.W. Contracting, Inc., dated June 29, 2023, was posted to the OpenGov website and posted to the Hernando County Administration electronic public bulletin board.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds of $2,549,665.25 are available from Hernando County Airport Department CIP-AP Infrastructure Account No. 4311-34298-5626555 - AP-Eastside Roadway Improv. ($2,549,665.25).
