BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has awarded the FY 2022 State Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant to Hernando County in the amount of $44,507.00.
On September 12, 2023, the Board authorized the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office to apply for this grant. These funds will be used to procure in-car cameras for patrol vehicles.
The attached award agreement no. R7133 must be completed and returned to the Department. This agreement constitutes official acceptance of the award and must be received by the Department prior to the reimbursement of any project expenditures.

It is recommended that the Board accept the grant award and authorize and approve the Chair’s signature on the attached award agreement and associated budget resolution.
