BRIEF OVERVIEW
On October 9, 2023, County Administrator Jeffrey Rogers signed a License/Use Agreement authorizing the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to utilize at no cost the Hernando County Public Library located at 9220 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34608 for a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) for the benefit of Hurricane Idalia victims. This License/Use Agreement will include the conference room to the left of the entrance, adjacent parking areas, restrooms, and tables and chairs provided by the facility which will be utilized by the local community staff, FEMA staff, disaster survivors, and all disaster-associated individuals.
This agreement became effective on October 9, 2023, and will expire no later than thirty days thereafter, unless terminated prior to that date with a ten-day calendar notice from either party or mutually agreed upon by both parties.
