Reimbursement Agreement With American Aviation, Inc., for Construction of Water Main and Relocation of Fire Hydrant at Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport

body

BRIEF OVERVIEW

At the February 14, 2023, Board meeting, the Board rejected an agreement to reimburse American Aviation for relocating an existing fire hydrant to serve an 11,900 square foot hangar.

Since that time, American Aviation, Inc., has provided the County with multiple bids and has also eliminated general contractor fees associated with the work, reducing the amount of reimbursement from $51,539 to $45,490.  At a subsequent board meeting, the Board agreed to re-consider an agreement based on receiving multiple bids for the hydrant relocation.

Attached for your consideration is a revised agreement with American Aviation, Inc., to provide reimbursement of costs to construct a water main and relocate a fire hydrant within the Airport property.  If approved, American Aviation, Inc., would perform the work in accordance with Hernando County specifications.  After the project is reviewed and accepted, the County would reimburse American Aviation Inc., for the work (not to exceed $45,490).
