Summary of Applicant’s Request:

The petitioner requests rezoning of the subject 0.16-acre parcel from R-1B (Residential) to R-1A (Residential) to allow for the placement of a mobile home.

 

Public Hearing History:

On May 11, 2026, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 3-0 to approve the petitioner’s request to rezone from R-1B (Residential) to R-1A (Residential).

LEGAL NOTE

The Board of County Commissioners has the authority to make the requested rezoning decision pursuant to Chapters 125 and 163 Florida Statutes.  The Applicable Criteria for a Zoning District Amendment are contained in Appendix A (Zoning Code), Article VI.  The Zoning District Amendment must be consistent with the Comprehensive Plan.

It is recommended that the Board of County Commissioners adopt a resolution approving the petitioner’s request for a rezoning from R-1B (Residential) to R-1A (Residential).
