BRIEF OVERVIEW
Tindl Rainey, Director of Conservation and External Relations for the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida, and Ryan Brushwood, Vice President of Environmental Science with Sea & Shoreline, will provide an overview of the Weeki Wachee River Submerged Aquatic Vegetation (SAV) Restoration Project. The presentation will cover the project’s goals, planting methods, timeline, and anticipated ecological benefits, including improved water quality and habitat recovery. It will also address ongoing maintenance and monitoring plans, the temporary use of protective cages, and efforts to keep the public informed throughout the project.
