BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County has identified an area on two adjacent, privately-owned parcels in South Brooksville, where debris from fallen trees has accumulated. The debris is within and beyond the boundaries of the County's designated drainage easement. The accumulation of debris may significantly impair proper drainage and pose a safety hazard.

Hernando County Department of Public Works (DPW) seeks approval for the Right of Entry onto these private properties for access to remove fallen trees and associated materials.

If approved, The Right of Entry Agreements will permit County personnel and equipment to access the property beyond the easement to remove the debris. The County's responsibility would be limited to the removal of hazardous trees and the clearing of associated debris. Not included in this service are repairs to any personal property, the removal of fences, trash, or other materials not associated with the fallen trees.

This initiative aims to support South Brooksville property owners to mitigate potential hazards and help maintain the community's well-being.

Staff recommends the Board approve the Right of Entry Agreements for Hernando County Department of Public Works to remove fallen trees and the associated debris from Parcel Key #12364 located on Twigg Street and Parcel Key #12391 located on School Street.
