At their August 12, 2024, meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 3-2 recommended to the BOCC approval of the petitioner’s request for a rezoning from AR-2 (Agricultural/Residential) and AG (Agricultural) to AR (Agricultural/Residential).

The following members were present at the August 12, 2024, Planning and Zoning Commission meeting: Chairman Nicholas Holmes; Acting Vice Chairman Mike Fulford; Kathryn Birren, Jonathan McDonald and Donald Whiting.

LEGAL NOTE
The Board has the authority to make the requested rezoning decision pursuant to Chapters 125 and 163 Florida Statutes. The Applicable Criteria for a Zoning District Amendment are contained in Appendix A (Zoning Code), Article VI. The Zoning District Amendment must be consistent with the Comprehensive Plan.

It is recommended that the Board adopt and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached resolution approving the petitioners’ request for a rezoning from AR-2 (Agricultural/Residential) and AG (Agricultural) to AR (Agricultural/Residential).
