BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has extended a Grant offer in the amount of $320,000.00 with a local match of $80,000.00 for the Airport Administration Building HVAC Replacement for a total project cost of $400,000.00.
The HVAC system at the Airport Administration Building is the original system that was installed when the building was constructed in 2009 and is at the end of its useful life, is outdated with parts that are increasingly harder to source and will need to be replaced.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Revenues:
The Airport’s revenues will be increased by $320,000 in Fund: 4311 - Airport/Industrial Park, Department: 34302 - AP-Terminal HVAC, Account: 3896001 - ST GRT-FDOT 55.004 CAP and $80,000 in Account: 3999078 - Transfer/Grant Match, totaling $400,000.
Expenses:
The grant expense account will be Fund: 4311 - Airport/Industrial Park, Department: 34302 - AP-Terminal HVAC, Account: 5626301 - Improv (Grtr than $10,000).
Funding of the match portion, pending approval of the attached Budget Resolution, will be from Fund: 4311 - Airport/Industrial Park, Department: 07411 - Airport Operations, Account: 5999078 - TRNSF-Grant Match.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached FDOT Public Transportation Grant Agreement, grant resolution and associated budget resolution.
