Purchase of Various Vehicles and Equipment Through Fleet Replacement Program

BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County Fleet Management is requesting the ability to purchase a total of seventy-one (71) vehicles/equipment for the County. Twenty-one (21) are additions to the Vehicle Replacement Program and fifty (50) are actual replacements. All fifty (50) of the vehicles and equipment being turned in by the departments will go to surplus. The estimated cost to purchase the vehicles and equipment is $5,865,039.53. Eighteen (18) of the vehicles and equipment will be purchased by departments utilizing the one-time payment option estimated at $887,153.06. Funds will be available with the approval of the requested line of credit. Departments have budgeted for these vehicles in their FY 23 budgets.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding for vehicles and equipment totaling $5,865,039.53 will be available in the Fleet Replacement Program Account 5081-08031-5606405 with approval of the attached replacement list

Approval by the Board is in accordance with Hernando County Procurement Ordinance, Part II, Chapter 2, Article 2, Article V.
recommendation
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to sign and award purchase orders for vehicles and equipment under the Fleet Replacement Program. It is further recommended the Board approve the line of credit request if needed.
