BRIEF OVERVIEW
On July 30, 2025, the Board approved contract no. 23-RFQ00422/AP for Continuing Professional Engineering Services; any task order above $500,000 requires BOCC approval.
The Natural Resources Department, Waterways Division, and the Hernando County Construction Coordinator requested the attached scope of work and fee rate sheet for Architectural and Engineering Services for Design, Permit and Construction of new Waterways Facility to be constructed at 4144 Pine Dale Ct in Hernando Beach, FL 34607. The task order total for $598,755.00 includes an owner design contingency in the amount of $27,750.
The Hernando County Construction Coordinator, Erik van de Boogaard, in conjunction with the Natural Resources Department reviewed the scope of work and fee schedule for pricing, conformance to specifications and the firm's ability to perform the contract in accordance with terms, conditions and specifications required, and they are recommending approval of the Task Order to Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
This is an approved FY 26 bond funded project. The budget will be adopted once the funds have been received.
This is an approved CIP project #112091 - Aquatic Services & Waterways Building.
