Pre-Application to Federal Aviation Administration for Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Grant for Airfield Pavement Improvement Design Project at Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport

body

BRIEF OVERVIEW

Certain areas of pavement on the Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport (BKV) airfield are over 20 years old and are in need of rehabilitation or reconstruction in order to extend the life of the pavement and remove any potential debris hazards.  BKV is requesting grant funding for design of pavement improvements as well as a design for new taxi lanes to be constructed in anticipation of building new t-hangar structures.  These designs are associated with Capital Improvement Plans (CIPs) 111834  T-Hanger Development and 111965 FBO Apron Taxiway A1 and Taxiway D Rehabilitation.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

If awarded, the Airport would receive revenue in the amount of up to $516,325 from the Florida Aviation Administration (FAA) and $21,740 from the Florida Department of Transportation; with a local match amount of $5,435 to be budgeted upon award.

LEGAL NOTE

The Board is authorized to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.
