BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Coronado Drive and Godfrey Avenue Drainage Improvement Project was awarded by the Board on March 8, 2022, Doc. Id. No. 19399 to Goodwin Bros. Construction, Inc., in the amount of $369,280.08.
Change Order One (1) was for concrete structure cost increase and gopher tortoise survey, permitting, excavation and relocation, increasing the Contract by $26,863.80 from $369,280.08 to $396,143.88.
Change Order Two (2) was for raising a 6" water main near S-5 inlet to allow clearance for the 30" RCP storm drain per Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) rules and the addition of one (1) day for a new completion date of 11/18/22, increasing the Contract by $7,475.00 from $396,143.88 to $403,618.88.
Change Order Three (3) was for the additional Bahia sod to cover side slopes of the DRA, Floritam sod, and Super Pave asphalt pavement, increasing the Contract by $37,096.80 from $403,618.88 to $440,715.68.
Change Order Four (4) was for additional costs for excavation and proper offsite disposal of material and debris, increasing the Contract by $30,794.68 from $440,715.68 to $471,510.36.
Change Order Five (5) was for a reduction to actual materials used, decreasing the Contract by $28,515.95 from $471,510.36 to $442,994.41.
The Final Contract amount is $442,994.41 (PO No. 22000694).
The work has been completed and Goodwin Bros. Construction, Inc., has submitted its Final Pay Application No. Three (3) in the amount of $22,149.72.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $22,149.72 is available in Retainage Account No. 7552-2050067 Stormwater MGMT MSTU, Retainage-Goodwin Const.
