BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County has been awarded $13,600,000 from the Economic Development Administration for the airport. These funds will be used to rehabilitate the airport's inactive runway into an active taxiway and extend water and sewer utilities across the airport's infield. Together, these critical infrastructure improvements will create development-ready sites capable of attracting new aviation, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, and other high-value economic development projects.
