BRIEF OVERVIEW
On May 25, 2021, the Board approved the use of Phase 3 CARES Funds to establish entrepreneurial advancement programs through a Community and Economic Activation Model. In partnership with the non-profit entity, Let’s Grow Hernando, the County agreed to fund 50% of the associated costs over a three-year period (not to exceed $475,000). The model utilizes the services of Innovation Collective, a well-established, successful, nationwide provider of entrepreneurial, incubator and economic growth programs.
The Community and Economic Activation Model has specific programmed activities that focus on business incubation, modernized workforce preparation, job creation and building an inclusive community. The attached Annual Report details their accomplishments and vision for 2023.
