Acceptance of Utility Oversizing Agreement Between Hernando County Water and Sewer District and Somerset Land, LLC, for Somerset Bay Sanitary Sewer Force Main
body
BRIEF OVERVIEW
Somerset Land, LLC (Developer) plans to develop a residential subdivision known as Somerset Bay, which is in the vicinity of the Hernando County Utility Department’s (District) Chalmer Street Pumping Station (Project). The Developer desires to connect to the District’s wastewater transmission system, which would require upgrades to the system at the Developer’s cost. The District has a scheduled budgeted project to upgrade the Chalmer Pumping Station, which includes the upsizing of approximately 4,300 linear feet of sewer force main from 6-inch pipe to 10-inch pipe. Approval of this agreement would increase the sewer force main diameter size to 12-inch pipe and the Developer would reimburse the District $341,445.56 (not to exceed) to pay the difference between the Project’s upgrade from 10-inch to 12-inch pipe, which will accommodate the Development’s connection to the District’s wastewater system.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Payment / reimbursement to HCUD is to be received in Account No. 4111-3897010 Contributed Assets.
LEGAL NOTE
