Discussion Regarding South Brooksville Stormwater Master Drainage Plan Revision Project Best Management Practice Alternatives

BRIEF OVERVIEW
On January 10, 2023, the Board approved Amendment No. One (1) in the amount of $117,496.00 for McKim & Creed, Inc., to provide professional engineering services for the South Brooksville Stormwater Master Drainage Plan. On January 23, 2024, the Board approved Amendment No. Two (2) in the amount of $46,321.00 for McKim & Creed, Inc., to provide additional professional services to identify and evaluate Best Management Practice (BMP) storm water improvement options for the South Brooksville Stormwater Master Drainage Plan update.
McKim & Creed, Inc., has prepared the attached Master Drainage Plan summarizing the results of stormwater modeling for alternative configurations of various concept plans, listed as BMPs 1 through 12. BMP 2 is a detention area designed to reduce stages for upstream areas and allow for improved drainage of the subject area. Three alternatives for BMP 2 were provided in the memorandum attached to Amendment Two (2) for the Board’s review.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact until Board provides direction.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board accept the South Brooksville Stormwater Master Drainage Plan BMP Alternatives provided by McKim & Creed, Inc., and provide staff direction. Improvement options will be presented along with the cost benefit ratio for each option for the Board’s consideration and direction.
