BRIEF OVERVIEW
On October 18, 2021, the Chief Procurement Officer approved Contract No. 21-TF0075 Demolition Pre-Qualification, prequalifying seven (7) Contractors for demolition projects.
On April 18, 2023, the Hernando County Facilities Department solicited a quote for the demolition of R-Beach. The quote was sent to the seven Pre-qualified contractors. Six quotes were received.
1) SC Signature Construction $74,900.00
2) Cross Environmental Services $47,695.00
3) Central Florida Land Service $46,730.00
4) Cross Construction Services $44,400.00
5) TNT Environmental $44,700.00
6) Johnson’s Excavation & Services, Inc. $36,790.00
Hernando County Facilities Department is recommending award of quote to Johnson’s Excavation and Services, Inc., for the demolition of R-Beach.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds are available in Expense Account No. 0011-01051-5606201 Bldg-Construction and/or improvements in the amount of $36,790.00.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached quote for the demolition of R-Beach under Contract No. 21-TF0075 to Johnson’s Excavation & Services, Inc., in the amount of $36,790.00. It is further recommended that the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders as they become necessary and up to budgeted amounts.
