Amendment No. 1 to Grant Agreement With State Department of Environmental Protection for Vulnerability Assessment Including City of Brooksville

body

BRIEF OVERVIEW

On January 9, 2024, the Board approved Grant Agreement 23PLN49 with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for the Resilient Florida Planning Grant (LS 12868) and the Professional Services Agreement with Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council to complete the Vulnerability Assessment for Emergency Management (LS 13397).

The Countywide IT Network interruption beginning in April 2024 caused certain GIS data to be unavailable, causing the Vulnerability Assessment to be delayed. The Department of Emergency Management coordinated with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council to revise the end date for the grant agreement to accommodate the additional time necessary to complete the assessment.

Attached is Amendment No. 1 to the Grant Agreement prepared by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. This amendment revises the expiration date to December 30, 2025, revises the special terms and conditions of the agreement, and revises the grant work plan.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

There is no local financial impact as the grant is 100% reimbursable.

LEGAL NOTE

The Board has the authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.
