BRIEF OVERVIEW

Commissioner Ryan Amsler has requested that the Board consider and discuss the attached proposed ordinance for future installation and/or operation of automated license plate readers (ALPRs) including Flock-type cameras on Hernando County property or rights-of-way.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

LEGAL NOTE

If the consensus of the Board is to move forward with this proposal, the County Attorney’s Office will prepare a formal ordinance for potential adoption at an advertised future public hearing. 

 

The Board is authorized to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

It is recommended that the Board have discussion and provide direction to staff regarding the attached ordinance for the installation and/or operation of automated ALPR,s including Flock-type cameras on Hernando County property or rights-of way.
