Ratification of Emergency Purchase Order to Vortex Services, LLC, for Repair of Culvert Lining on Wallien Drive North

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Department of Public Works (DPW) determined that the existing corrugated metal arch pipe (CMAP) situated south of the intersection of Dogwood Estates Drive and Wallien Drive was corroded and threatening to compromise the integrity of the Wallien Drive foundation.
The Procurement Department issued Purchase Order No. 23000780 in the amount of $60,000.00 on May 11, 2023, to Vortex Services, LLC to provide cured in place pipe liner repair services (CIPP). DPW is bringing the purchase order to the Board for ratification.
The actual repairs were recently completed at the final cost of $55,414.00. Change Order One (1) has been created to decrease the “estimated” purchase order amount to an “actual” purchase order amount and to pay/close this emergency purchase order upon Board approval.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $55,414.00 is available in Account No. 1017-03231-5616311-112027, LOGT 1-6 -Genl Transp, Capital Improv- LOGT 1-6, Improv-Drainage, Wallien Drive North Culvert Lining.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board ratify Purchase Order No. 23000780 in the amount of $55,414.00 to Vortex Services, LLC for Wallien Drive North for the repairs of the culvert lining. It is further recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders if they become necessary and required.
