Construction Project Agreement With Charles Perry Partners, Inc., for Construction Management Services for Tax Collector Building (Contract No. 2021-RFP-GM/GC-015-TB; Amount: $11,300,000.00)

BRIEF OVERVIEW

On November 29, 2022, the BOCC approved award of Contract No. 2021-RFP-GM/GC-015-TB to Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI) for Construction Management Services for the Tax Collector Building.  Post-approval of award CPPI and Hernando County continued negotiations to clarify the contract exhibits.  These negotiations resulted in the addition of Exhibits A through J to the attached contract.  Additionally contract language relevant to exhibits B, C, and J was clarified.  All exhibits and revised contract language were reviewed and approved for legal sufficiency (LR 22-379).  CPPI has signed the contract agreement and this BOCC item is to request the Chairman’s countersignature.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Funding in the amount of $11,300,000.00 will be available from bond proceeds and various capital accounts.

 

LEGAL NOTE

The Board has the authority to take the recommended action pursuant to Part II, Chapter 2, Article V of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached construction project agreement for Contract No. 2021-RFP-GM/GC-015-TB with Charles Perry Partners, Inc., for construction management services for the Tax Collector’s building and authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders as they become necessary and required against available budgets. It is further recommended for Board approval to be contingent on the completion of the land acquisition of the project site.
