BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners approved an Aviation Ground Lease with Aircraft Sales Company (ASC), LLC on August 10, 2021. ASC has submitted and received approval of building plans for an 11,900-sf aircraft hangar on this property. Due to unforeseen delays in funding, the infrastructure is not in place to serve the new development; this has been resolved and bids are scheduled to be awarded. In accordance with Section 28-211 of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances, utilities must be available and connection fees paid prior to issuance of a building permit. To avoid further delays, ASC has requested consideration to continue with construction and connect to utilities immediately upon availability. The attached Memorandum of Understanding between ASC and the County provides the ability to construct the facility but not issue a Certificate of Occupancy until utilities are connected.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no monetary impact from this amendment.

The Board has the authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Memorandum of Understanding for Aircraft Sales Company, LLC.
