Budget Resolution Recognizing Additional Revenue Donation from KPMG, LLP for Emergency Preparedness Initiatives

BRIEF OVERVIEW
Emergency Management has accepted a $500.00 sponsorship donation from KPMG, LLP to support emergency preparedness initiatives, including the fifth annual HERricane HERnando Summer Camp. The County's #HernandoPrepares public education campaign promotes four key preparedness messages:
• Make a Plan
• Build a Kit
• Stay Informed
• Get Involved
The funds will support the fifth annual HERricane HERnando Summer Camp, which teaches participants about emergency management careers, the importance of preparedness, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), fire extinguisher usage, and disaster supply kit preparation. This is a five-day camp for approximately 20 young women ages 13-17.

It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Budget Resolution recognizing the $500.00 donation from KPMG, LLP.
