Amendment No. 1 to Grant Agreement With State Department of Environmental Protection for Septic Upgrade Incentive Program and Associated Budget Resolution

BRIEF OVERVIEW
On August 23, 2022, the Board approved the Florida Department of Environment Protection (FDEP) grant agreement with Hernando County Utilities Department for the Septic Upgrade Incentive Program (SUIP) for $2,796,111.00. Amendment No.1 will add State funding in the amount of $1,111,111.22. With this amendment the total grant funds received for this project total $3,907,222.22.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The attached Budget resolution will increase the Hernando County Utilities Septic Incentive Program Contracted Services Account No. 4111-33504-5303401 by $1,111,111.22 and Grant Revenues to Hernando County Utilities-Septic Incentive Program-ST GRT-FDEP CSFA 37.039 Account No. 4111-33504-3893502 by $1,111,111.22.

recommendation
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Amendment No. 1 to State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection Grant Agreement for Septic Upgrade Incentive Program Agreement No. LPF2701. It is further recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached associated budget resolution.
