Citrus County Local Agency Financial Resolution for E Citrus Springs Boulevard from US41 to CR39 (FDOT Project 456546-1)

body

BRIEF OVERVIEW

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 Office is implementing a new coordination process with local agencies for projects included in the FDOT Work Program.  A copy of the process is attached.  The purpose of the process is to ensure agencies are informed and committed to projects within their jurisdiction that they are implementing or have requested FDOT to implement on their behalf and contained in the FDOT Work Program.

The process involves coordinating with Metropolitan Planning Organizations whereby FDOT shall provide a Local Agency Financial Resolution (LAFR) for approval by local jurisdictions.  Attached is such a Resolution for the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners to adopt, execute, and return to FDOT by October 30, 2026.  Specifically, the Resolution serves to clarify the terms and conditions for the use of allocated funds for FDOT Project 456546-1 (E Citrus Springs Boulevard from US41 to CR 39), a project in the fifth year of the FDOT Work Program.  The Resolution also requires written approval from FDOT to reallocate funding from one project to another.

The Resolution was forwarded to the Citrus County Administrator on July 28, 2026, for execution by the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners prior to the October 30, 2026, deadline.  If an extension is required, the local agency or MPO will need to coordinate with FDOT.
