BRIEF OVERVIEW
Attached is a Water Master Plan Update for Hernando County Utilities Department prepared by McKim & Creed. The update includes new population and water demand projections considering the recent developments within the County. Also included is an update to our Countywide water distribution model to determine system upgrades that will be necessary in the future. Modeling was done in five-year increments from 2025 to 2045 to help plan for capital improvements and ensure reliable water service.
Key components of the Water Master Plan Update include:
• Updated population and water demand calculations
• Reviewing and updating the existing hydraulic model
• Documenting model assumptions and analysis criteria
• Calibrating and validating the model for accuracy
• Simulating future demand scenarios in five-year increments (2025-2045)
• Identifying and recommending system improvements to address current and projected hydraulic limitations
• Supporting the development of a Capital Improvement Program (CIP) aligned with projected system growth and demand

It is recommended that the Board adopt and approve the attached Hernando County Water Master Plan Update.
