BOARD ACTION: On August 23, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners voted 3-2 to deny the petitioner’s request to reduce rear setback from 20’ to 6” and a side setback reduction from 20’ to 10’ on property zoned C2.

The Board has the authority to make the requested rezoning decision pursuant to Chapters 125 and 163 Florida Statutes and Appendix A (Zoning) of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached resolution ratifying the Board’s action to deny the petitioner’s request to reduce the minimum rear setback from 20’ to 6” and the minimum side setback reduction from 20’ to 10’ and to approve a revised variance with a setback reduction from 20’ to 15’ for the building and 6” for the canopy.
