Certification of Annual Report for FY 2022-2023 State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program for Submittal to Florida Housing Finance Corporation

BRIEF OVERVIEW
Each year all local governments participating in the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program must submit an annual report to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC) detailing program progress, expenditures, leveraging, beneficiary demographics and more. This report details the expenditure of SHIP funds and program outcomes for the State Fiscal Year 2022/2023 Close Out and Fiscal Year 2023/2024 Interim Year.
The report is required by Florida Statutes, Section 420.9075(1) to be certified by the local government’s chief elected official or his/her designee as accurate and complete. Transmittal of the annual report by the county certifies that the local housing incentive strategies of the SHIP Local Housing Assistance Plan are implemented or in the process of being implemented pursuant to the adopted schedule for implementation.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board certify the FY 2022/2023 SHIP Annual Report, authorize the signature of the Chairman on the certification form, and direct staff to submit the documents to Florida Housing Finance Corporation.
