BRIEF OVERVIEW
On January 31, 2025, Hernando County Health and Human Services announced Requests for Application in the amount of $800,000 from the settlement agreement funds negotiated through the State of Florida Attorney General Office and various counties as a result of the opioid epidemic.
Applications and requested amounts were received by the following providers:

Operation Par: $219,265.22
Recovery Epicenter Foundation: $641,228.00
Fifth Judicial Circuit: $124,500.00
BayCare Behavioral Health Associates: $138,558.00
Premier Community HealthCare Group: $170,002.00
The scoring committee consisting of Veda Ramirez, Director, Housing and Supportive Services, Shelly Katz, Chief Operating Officer, LSF Health Systems, Steven Pasquale, Mental Health Substance Abuse Coordinator, and Antonin Cancelli, Mental Health Substance Abuse Data Analyst scored all submitted applications, and the following scores were received.

Operation Par: 318/400
NAMI Hernando: 317/400
BayCare Behavioral Health: 315/400
Recovery Epicenter: 270/400
Premier Community HealthCare: 266/400
Should the Board award funding based on the scores received and funding availability this round, staff presents the following, which consist of Medication Assisted Treatment (3), Recovery Support (2), Wraparound Services (2) and services for those involved in the Criminal Justice System (3).
