Discussion Regarding Updated Tiny Homes Presentation

BRIEF OVERVIEW
On March 22, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners gave staff direction to develop recommendations for tiny homes and tiny home communities within the County. Staff developed an action plan based on that direction, received input from the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, and developed a set of recommendations for the Board’s consideration.

No financial impact; a matter of policy.

The Board has the authority to hear the presentation pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board hear the presentation, discuss the item and provide direction to staff on the revision of existing Land Development Regulations to allow tiny homes and tiny home communities.
