BRIEF OVERVIEW
The attached Interlocal Agreement between Hernando County, and the Pasco Hernando Workforce Board, Inc. d/b/a/ CareerSource Pasco Hernando (CSPH), establishes the Pasco Hernando Workforce Development Consortium, its roles, and responsibilities. This Agreement replaces and supersedes the previous Amended and Restated Interlocal Agreement between Pasco County and Hernando County for the continuation of a Regional Workforce Board, recorded in the official records of Hernando County at Book 3357, Page 1190, and in the official records of Pasco County at Book 9359, Page 3485.
The Consortium is dedicated to the maximization of education, training, and employment resources, and recognizes the need for a local workforce development board charged with the responsibility of implementing federal and state policies at the local level. The participating counties agree to and accept the designation of the area comprised of the two counties as a local workforce development area and establish the Consortium in accordance with the provisions as described in the attached document.

There is no financial impact.

The Board is authorized to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Amended and Restated Interlocal Agreement Between Pasco County and Hernando County for the Continuation of a Regional Workforce Board for the purposes of establishing the Pasco Hernando Workforce Development Consortium.
