Tourist Development Council Special Events Marketing Grant Awards to Promote Florida’s Adventure Coast Events for FY 2025

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Tourist Development Council (TDC) has received grant applications from three organizations for special events to promote visitation to Hernando County. The applications were reviewed and recommendations for funding made. A listing of each organization, event and recommended award is attached for review and approval.
• Brooksville Main Street - Veterans Music Festival $2,250
• Hernando Historical Museum Association $500
• Foggy Longbritches, LLC - Florida Winter Music Festival $200
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The recommended grant awards listed total $2,950. The available budget for grant funding is currently $50,000 and is available in the Special Promotions - Sponsorship Account, Fund: 1261 - Tourist Development Tax, Department: 02811 - Tourist Development, Account: 5304804 - PROM ACT-Sponsorship.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve the award of TDC’s Special Event Grant funding for the events for the amounts indicated in the attached documents totaling $2,950.
