BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services (HCFES) is requesting a budget amendment in Fund 1661, Fire Services, and Fund 1691, EMS Services. The amendment includes moving funds from Reserves to Contingency Capital Improvements to appropriate line items for the construction of Stations 5 and 6 as well as moving the modular at Station 6 to the old Station 5 once construction is completed at Station 6.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Fund 1661 will move $330,000 from 1661-02261-5909917, Reserve for Contingency, Capital Projects to 1661-02261-5606233, Bldgs-HCFES, $150,000 for Station 6 construction, 1661-02261-5606359, Improvements - HCFES, $105,000 for Station 5 construction, and 1661-02261-5304601 $75,000 for Repairs/Maint-Buildings & Grounds for moving the modular to the old Station 5. Fund 1691 will move $120,000 from 1691-02491-5909917, Reserve for Contingency, Capital Projects to 1691-02494-5606359, $70,000, Improvements - HCFES for Station 5 construction, and 1691-02491-5304601 $50,000 for Repairs/Maint-Buildings & Grounds for moving the modular to the old Station 5. HCFES will still maintain 25% Reserves for Contingency in each fund.

It is recommended that the Board approve the attached budget amendments for the construction of Fire Station 5 and Fire Station 6.
