Discussion Regarding Proposed Ordinance Establishing Hernando County Delegation on Government Efficiency (DOGE)

body

BRIEF OVERVIEW

Per the request of Commissioner Ryan Amsler, this ordinance proposes the establishment of an independent body to review county government spending, regulatory policies, and governance structures in order to identify waste, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.  The Delegation would be tasked with producing three public reports on budget efficiency, regulatory reform, and governance options, providing recommendations for fiscal responsibility and government efficiency.

This initiative aligns with conservative governance principles of fiscal responsibility, limited government, and taxpayer protection, ensuring that Hernando County operates efficiently and remains accountable to its residents.
