BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services has requested an increase to cover purchases for Fiscal Year 2026 and 2027 for Contract No. 24-P0120U for Critical Care and EMS Equipment for Fire Rescue and Emergency Services.
FY26 anticipated purchases:
* Twelve (12) new Stretchers for the new ambulances - Estimated Cost $430,000.00
* Thirteen (13) Life Pak 35 cardiac monitors to replace Life Pak 15 cardiac monitors - Estimated Cost $650,000.00
* Six (6) Lucas 2 Chest Compressors - Estimated Cost $115,000.00
* Ten (10) AED Defibrillators - Estimated Cost $21,000.00
* Annual Maintenance - Estimated Cost $150,000.00
FY27 anticipate similar spend amount.
The Board originally approved $750,000.00 per year on September 10, 2024, under Doc ID 14447. This request would increase Fiscal Year 2026 and Fiscal Year 2027 both to $1,500,000.00 per year.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding will be from budgeted amount in Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services for FY2026 and FY2027.

All purchases are already accounted for in encumbrances and budgeted funds.
