BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County has an existing grant agreement with the State of Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) through the Florida Boating Improvement Program for renovations to the Lake Townsen Park boat ramp. Grant funds will be used to improve boat access to the Withlacoochee River by constructing a new single lane concrete boat ramp and a new floating boarding dock. Since the grant was awarded, the size of the floating dock has been reduced from 160 sq. ft. to 128 sq. ft. to meet the requirements of the Riverine Protection Ordinance, Sec. 23-213(5). It is therefore necessary to amend the grant agreement to reflect the change in project deliverables.
This is a cost reimbursement agreement with FWC with total payment not to exceed $200,000.

No financial impact at time of discussion.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Amendment No. 1 to FWC Agreement No. 22021-A1 with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for the Lake Townsen Park Boat Ramp Project.
