BRIEF OVERVIEW
A Local Agency Program (LAP) Grant Agreement between the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Hernando County has been received for funding the construction and construction engineering inspection (CEI) services associated with the Eastside Elementary Raley Road from US 98/SR 50/Cortez Boulevard to Roper Road Safe Routes to School (SRTS) LAP project.

The project includes the construction and CEI activities to build a 5' sidewalk along Raley Road, Dakota Drive, and Boxwood Street to provide a walking path for students at Eastside Elementary School. The project will install 0.782 miles (4,129 Linear Feet) of sidewalk.

FDOT will provide $302,458.00 towards construction and $18,618.00 towards Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services for a total award amount of $321,076.00. Funds cannot be reallocated between sequences and any costs above these amounts will be the responsibility of Hernando County.

An associated grant signature resolution and budget resolution are attached to this item for the Board's consideration and approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
The grant will provide the County reimbursement by FDOT up to $321,076.00 for construction and CEI activities. Funding will be budgeted in the following accounts if the agreement and budget resolution are approved:
* 1013-34609-3314901 Const Gas Tax Fund, DPW-LAP Eastside Elm Raley SW, FED GRT-LAP 20.205
* 1013-34609-5616371 Const Gas Tax Fund, DPW-LAP Eastside Elm Raley SW, Improv-Sidewalks

The grant does not have a funding match requirement, although any expenses incurred over the amount in the agreement will be the responsibility of Hernando County.
