BRIEF OVERVIEW

Firehouse Subs Foundation offers a grant for up to $40,000.00 to provide local communities lifesaving equipment and prevention education tools to first responders and public safety organizations.  This grant would allow Hernando County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services (HCFR) to purchase each firefighter a multi-purpose boot that has a 10-year warranty.  This multi-purpose puncture-resistant boot can be worn in the station, on EMS calls, to wildland brush fires and on urban search and rescue deployments.  The grant would enable the purchase of 108 pairs of the boots at a cost of $369.99 each, for a total of $39,958.92.  The application for this grant is processed through their portal.
